Just wondering what your thoughts are..

is it suitable to wear a vest,whiteshirt,tie,formal pants.

to a job interview?

what type of work? wear clothes as if your ready start right now.. might seem alittle desperate, but when i was in college my co-op teacher told me about it, it worked for me for 2 jobs. don't go by what i said i don't want to be be the reason you don't get the jobl.

Its always good to dress as nice as the job entails. So it depends on what the job is........If you interviewing for a garbage man then no, that outfit would be overdone.

When I interviewed for the job I'm in now (Pharmacy) I wore a White button up, Pink tie and black slacks. You always want to make a good/professional impression. Make sure hair is combed, clean shaved and your clothes aren't wrinkled.

Agreed dress the part. If you are looking at a professional position wear a suit. If you are doin something in service you still should be casual dress. If you are looking for a manual labor type of position then you should wear a nice pair of dickies or carharts no stains. You should always look good but you don't want to try to be convincing a guy that you can wrench on a car when you are in a three piece suit. Soo dress the part, but definitely still look neat, clean and well put together

what job is it ?

I honestly don't believe it is ever acceptable to wear seekers to an interview of any kind. At least wear boots that aren't scuffed up beyond recognition. Always a button up top whether it be a collared shirt, or for the more blue color job a clean nice looking jacket that says I can handle the tough job. I would stay away from T shirts, Polo shirts are fine in some situations. The mind set you should have is, if you were the business owner what would you like to see all your employees wearing to represent you and your business. Even if you are dressed down for a more manual labor position you should still look like a professional. It was said earlier that you should be able to start work immediately. Dress the part and maybe dress it up just a tad. What a person wears says a lot about them. Your interview can be decided with in the first few seconds. The first impression sets the tone for the interview, so gut in shoulders back chest out (Good posture) LOL, Firm hand shake, maintane eye contact (shows confidence), and smile or have some sort of welcoming, friendly demeanor about yourself. I could advise you better on the outfit you should wear if you would like to tell us what type of career field you are attempting to go into.

^^I thought it was just a blue-collar job because in the first place, it would not be a white-collar job if he stated in his options a "white shirt".

I mean the jacket is nice and the slacks are good I would still wear a sweater or a button up shirt with no tie and black boots. Oh yeah and no brief case lol I know it was jsut part of the picture I honestly really like the jacket I have been wanted to buy one like that for some time now but I keep dumpin money into my EG instead of clothes

Haha yeah I like the jacket too. The shirt definitely looks great. The Converse Chucks however killed the look for me.

Totally agree on the shoes LOL. If he had on some black leather dress shoes or even some dark gray shoes it would look excellent. Soo this thread is turning into a male fashion thread WTF However, it is good to see car guys that take pride in the way they look as well as their rides

You cant overdress for a job interview

One of the jobs is for a record shop , and the other is for clothes shop .

plain black trousers, plain black shirt, swav black shoes and a nice tie, f.t.w.
