ok heres the story

i have a friend...

he has a 93 civic dx.

heres the rundown (kuz i dont know all the details)

hes useing a y8 block z6 head
ebay turbo, manifold, charge pipes and intercooler
vitara pistons
crower turbo cam (i think)
and a bunch more stuff

all his close friends drive dsm's, cobalt's and neon's
they tell him his car is crap and it sucks. kid get like no respect. and he build it damn near by himself

hes making 285whp on pump gas tuned on chrome

i just need a few peoples opinion (basicly to show him 285whp single slammin civic is hella balls and his car rocks)

Sounds like a nice turbo Single.

Easiest way to shut them up is to waste them all in a drag race.

In a light weight eg, with a a 285hp turbo charged single cam, It should be easy victory.

if its track their talkin then he'll eat a neon...... cobalt...... need i say more....... the dsm has the awd and would give it a run but in a straight line he'd MURDER it. 285 is a monster especially off a single slammer. get some tires to put down the power and shit on em.

a regular neon yes he will eat, a regular cobalt yes he will eat, cobalt ss/tc and an srt-4 will give that car a good run.

a 285 whp coupe/hatch with someone who can drive it would roll the shit out of a stock slobalt ss or srt-4 neon.

I agree. The sheer power and capability of a single slammer is unprecidented. The power and speed and ability for the ss or srt-4 to win, well doesnt exist. need we say more?

x5 And fyi the srt-4 is gay even a stage 3 srt-4 only puts down like 300 to the crank lol! and they way 2x more same goes for the cobalt ss they are the americans sorry ass attemt at a wanna be import! The only one that will reall give him problems (depending on what it has) is the dsm i know a few guys in my area that have bad ass dsms that eat up most of the hondas and acura here in my town. But honestly 285hp is really good for a d and props to him for doing it mostly himself!!

srt-4 are jokes, my d16z6 with I/H/E puts them to shame in my 4 door
my friend has a cobalt SS supercharged not turboed and it was neck and neck.
