I just replaced my in wall Air Conditioner. The old unit was 230V and so is the outlet by it. The new unit uses a standard 115v 3-prong plug.
I looked in my fuse box and There is a pair of breakers (side by side) that were for the 230V outlet for the AC.
Is this as simple as replacing the 230v outlet with a 115v outlet and only hooking up one of the hot wires, and then replacing that pair of breakers with 2 separate 115v breakers, and then only turning one of them on (the one connected to the hot wire I leave hooked up in the outlet)?
it's in the 90's here, no AC is killing me
