Here you can get a DUI if you're in your drive way drinking with your keys in your pocket and your car right there... doesn't happen often but still can!

Kind of sucks cause what if you're at a party and you just wanna pass out in the peace of your own locked car so nobody draws dicks on your head with a sharpie.

- Wed Jul 21, 2010 11:03 pm #205682 well bassically my 2 weeks off work went, 2 parking fines £30 each, the drunk charge with a court date, going up a one way street charge which is automatic 3 points and £60 fine then came another letter for another parking fine for £50

never mind the £150 to get my car out the impound, £100 for 2 new tyres and god knows what else!

Solicitor said we may be able to get away with the drunken charge because i was passed out and didn't have the intent on driving.

plus the ex will never speak to me again and she was the only person i could count on in my life.

also because when i passed my test again and got my license back after the first time i got it revoked they gave me it back with 6 points and thats the max your aloud within 2 years of driving, means anymore points like the 3 is automatic revoke.

so if i get the drunken charge put across its a 1year ban and no chance of insuring a car when i get it back plus £450 fine but if i get away with that then itll be license revoked and the £60 fine

so all in all, hangover aint got nothing on me....

plus me and my mate tagteamed my mates slutty ex and my mates cousin says she loves me :|

Or at least make sure your keys are not around when you do drink... can't mix the two or it's only a matter of time before something really bad happens.

Last October I got a DUI (even though I wasn't driving...the DUI laws are quite ridiculous, but there is a reason they are there). It was by far the worst experience of my life. My girlfriend left me 2 days after my parents got divorced, so I looked to booze to make things better...long story short I ended up with a DUI, over $4000 in fines (DUI fine, rehab, evaluations, etc.), 1 year of court supervision that kept me from getting into the service (I got arrested the night before I was supposed to go to MEPS), and just tons of other random shit that just makes life suck. I hope everything goes well for you man, I would hate to see someone else go through what I did.

and teal i was off the drink for a good month or 2 and i was going for runs everyday, working out like fuck but its was just one of those weeks, i was off for 2 weeks and the first week i spent painting cars to get some extra cash but a sure fy full respray never happened so i ended up out of pocket with buying materials for it. the audi turned out mint but i was still out of pocket, i think that was the first thing that went tits up on ma weeks off.
