#209175 Ive always wondered why honda never made a factory BOOSTED car, Jus think how cool that would be, even more cooler if they started building Boosted AWD type r!! "watch out mitsu and subaru"
but seriously why no honda boost? cuz that would be a BIG leap for Honda IMO :?

#209204 Honda did not make a turbo civic or sports car if you will because turbo cars are rather expensive to make plus i think they knew that we the tuners would do what they werent able to.....

still a turbo honda. the coupes NA and turbo version were made to compete with the Toyota Soarer (sc300/sc400) and the Nissan leopard(Infiniti M30) which where sports cars.

#209218 Imma take an educated guess at this... honda first started out with high revving motor bikes.... thennnn they took there technolgy with motor bikes and applied it towards cars... and boooyahhh u got a high revving honda that kicks ass

#209283 :thumb: yep honda makes the best NA cars that i know of,
but jus think of the new type R civic Hatch with a k20t AWD "man that will be awesom, if they did that i think evo's and subaru will be put in the shades.....Honda has alot of potential they already has a title with N/A, i think its time for them to step up their game. Unless they come up with a N/A motor that can produce 300+ stock :hehe:

#209315 the M30 is NOT a sports car! LOL

I think they didnt do it because they were getting embarrased by other companies that were making affordable and powerful turbo charged cars, so to be different...pretty much everything was N/A. I think the grape squishin torque of the Honda engines was just embarrasing LOL

#209365 Awd turbo civic is not the traditional honda way... especially for a civic... in the eyes of honda the way of the samurai is a little 4banger comsuming little as possible gas intake... stock turbo for a honda is just out of hondas realm... awd also... but they did do the super handling all wheel drive system for acura... maybe they might bring it to other hondas??? But who knows what they might do....

#209379 here's a well written post from a legend forum..

In other parts of the world there were many Honda Legend 2.0Ti produced. They carried about 188HP. V6 2.0L w/Turbo, those WERE real. Around the same time it is "Claimed" that Honda developed 250, 2.7TT Honda Legends as a test in Japan. They are SAID to produce close to 270HP. Now, those have never been confirmed, the 2.0Ti has however.

Later on, Honda discovered Turbo was not a big hit in Japan, poor fuel economy. So they left Turbos to F1 vehicles and such.

From then on, Honda decided they would develop new technologies, they would attempt to reach turbo output levels, without the sacrafice of all that fuel, making the engine more efficient instead. VTEC was born.

In total there have been 2 consumer honda cars with turbo, 3 if you count the mythical 2.7TT Legend.

The first two:
Honda City Life (Funny looking little thing in Japan)
Honda Legend 2.0Ti (188HP V6 Turbo)

its from 02' so the RDX is not mentioned.
