Bought a hatch a month ago. Loaned 500 from my parents. Paid 250 of that back 2 weeks ago. Now i got my check... should i go register the car, or not yet? Before i can start driving it i need to raise the suspension and camber, and get alignment. Im doing all this check by check. So should i go register the car, fix it up, then pay parents back. OR Pay parents back, do the work to it, THEN register the car?

Well it depends on your parents, do they really need the money back asap. I would get the car nice and road ready and pay them back after because you need a car to get to work.

Get the car fixed first before you register it.

Pay your parents back first! Fix what is needed, Since you have a car to drive in the meantime . THEN, register it.

I agree with Chance..plus I know when my brother loaned me money to get my second car..I ended up getting it registered, lowering it and then every time I thought of paying him back I ended up seeing something else I wanted to add to the car or a car show to go to or a meet and then never got around to paying him back.

We aren't setting him up for failure...
In AZ, you can go online to the Motor Vehicle dept pay $1 for temporary tags that are good for like 3 days. This is to allow you to be able to drive your vehicle to and from shops/storage and what not.
I'd bet most states would have something similar in place for many different instances. Just have to be smart and look into that stuff before just jumping in an unregistered car and go driving it around.

word. family should always come first. if you have another dd and registering this car isnt really on top of your list then id pay it off first, fix it and the register it :)
