ugh god i saw a couple commercials i think its suppose to appear november 21/22nd or something on the history channel all i got to say is fuck that
we as american tv and stuff will make the once loved top gear a rock in water ratings for at least the american show will im betting fall as i watched the commercial i got bored very fast however just the opening of the british top gear no matter how many times ive seen it im never bored ....
so yea just thought id see what your veiws are on this im just not too happy because all i see is america ruining the name of top gear and thusly destroying it....destroying the top gear we get to see from abroad by them getting up in arms about our version and yea not allowing their shows over here....

i cant wait for it to come out. i'll give it a shot. and of course the first episodes might be shitty. S1E1 of Top gear when i think was it Hammond? wasnt on the show those episodes were ok.
so cant just shoot it down right off the bat.
it will however have the same camera crew from the UK show. i imagine they have a huge ass stuff on their camera crew.

the only thing I know ill like about it is the fact that they will use pro drivers as hosts... like tanner faust is a pro d1 drift driver....
And in the commercial u see a evo 10 in the snow next to skiers... that look dope...
But I'm kinda on the bench on this one due to it being brought over from across the pond...
The real top gear is a phenomenon... let's just hope that it dosnt turn out to be like the Australia top gear...

I am gonna watch but I dont have high expectations either. I do like Tanner...but none of the guys they have for the show will have the same charisma and goofyness of the UK cast. THey are just awesome and it is a ver very hard act to follow. At least they ditched Adam Corolla...he was supposed to be one of the host years ago when they first talked about this...that would have been EXTREMELY BORING!

indeed adam corolla
but yea apparently im thinking its going to try and copy british humor butto be honest you cannot copy it because here in america its not correct umor i actually laugh more at british comedians and stuff like that then i do american ones because to me its just not funny....plus our accent here sucks lol i get bored listening to it but with the brits accent i never get bored im intrigued because everything they say is interesting lol

Adam Corolla would ruined it sooo bad.
Im with you guys. i saw the commercial and was like oh no...i will watch it and give it a chance but as it was said before the uk version is so damn funny and awesome cause its in the UK and us Americans think the UK citizens are just funny as hell. And not in a bad way lol. Im envisioning it being more like American hosts being kinda snobby ish, not as exciting and focusing on the cars way to much. Like the technical shit. Where as in the UK version they do that but they also make it funny or do outrageous things to test its limits. EX:Driving the damn Toyota to the volcano haha. And i think the show has a possibility of being a sell out for American cars...

indeed im an american but i dont think we are the best at well alot of things however that being said now i will be labeled as a terrorist lol for not being patriotic but its bullshit to think one country is best over another but yea thats a different topic
i do feel as tho it will be centered as a more american snobbish car deal there like they may test more suvs trucks and other american muscle much like when clarkson tested the truck but they wont point out the fitment of the dash peices being rubbish and stuff like that....
this will probaly be more like a car show where you learn about the car instead of what they think it should do how it should be etc american tv for that matter is boring as well.....too much political correctness going on to where the hosts have to be pretty much uptight and stuff like that they cant speak their minds and let random things happen....

I agree classic. i think American tv would be alot better if the hosts could really be themselves.
