Civic EG

Ok so I'm looking into getting another EG I found one for a very good deal but the owner doesn't have the title he said he got it off his roomate and that he has a bill of sale...so has anyone bought a car like this or have had experience with this type of situation? I live in california if it helps[/list]

make him get his room mate get a copy of the title.

Thanks for the input guys uggh sucks it doesn't have a title...ill tell him to get the title off his room mate and if he can't get it then ill look elsewhere cuz seemed kinda sketchy to me didn't know you can have a car or transfer over to someone else without a title

I went through this before. The guy (my friend at the time) gave me the hatch for a good price, but couldnt get me the title because it was all packed up (he was moving across the country) and said he'd mail it to me. Welp needless to say that shady piece of shit never did, changed his number a few times and avoided me like the plague.

Luckily for me i knew him well enough to think that he more than likely didnt ever register it with it being a shell. So, Located the previous owner in another state and worked a deal with him. He got a copy of the title from his DMV and mailed it to me. This took almost 2 years... so yeah lucked out in the end but NOT worth it.

No, it was the last hatch I had. My Purple RHD if you've seen my OLD thread. After all that hassle I just got over it and really didn't want to build it anymore. So,I sold it to my good friend for CHEAP and he's almost finished with its sexyness. I'll definitely be doing a photoshoot for it when its complete and post them up here.

Like everyone has said, if it doesn't have a title, don't buy it unless you just want it for parts.
