Just a random chit-chat thread about good solid movies. I do have a lot of time on my hands and would love to check out some really good movies.

But to keep it a really good, in depth thread, Ill ask for you to explain why its your favorite. Like me, Star Wars Trilogy. I've just always been interested in Science Fiction and the story line to it is well written, imo. Hahaha, yeahhhhh Imma n3rD. Its all good.

Lets see what the members have to say! :D

True Romance.
I know it sounds like a chick flick, but it is awesome. written by Quinten Tarantino, starring (are you ready forthis?) Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer, (want me to keep goin? OK) Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, Samuel L Jackson, and it just keeps going. this is the perfect blend of action, comedy, and well... romance.
If I started to tell you about it I wouldn't stop, so go check it out. but it if you cant find a place to rent it, it's worth it. I promise. No, I guarantee it. If you buy it and don't like it, I'll buy it from you. I have that much confidence that you'll love it. Who am I talking to? All of you.

I don't think I could choose a 'single' favorite. So,
Few of my favorites:
- Donny Darko Just a trippy movie that the meaning can be interpreted many different ways. Everytime I watch it I get something else out of it!
- Blow I love 'true story' type movies. This one especially with the interview at the end with the real George Jung
- Fight Club
-Numb it depicts how I feel at times.
- American Splendor

Man, I do that same thing when I watch Donny Darko. Haha It's a great movie though. One of my favorites.

One movie I still like for some reason is Twister. Oh and The Patriot. Those are always going to be good movies. :D

I just watched this about a week ago. what great movie.
I wish a few of actors would have had bigger parts but the parts they played they played them to a tee, especially Christopher Walken and Gary Oldman.

I also got to add Suicide Kings to the list as well.
It's classic Christopher Walken.

AND, any Clint Eastwood westerns, especially the old spaghetti westerns.
I just saw The Good, The Bad and The Ugly at Walmart yesterday on Bluray, there's a good place to start. :)
