#268972 Post your favorite recipes home made or whatever.

I'll start this is for my home made stuffed peppers.

Things you'll need:

6-8 green peppers (or whatever color you like yellow, red)
2 large cans of tomato soup (26oz is what i get)
1 lb. of ground beef (90/10 ratio is best)
1 can of corn (frozen corn works great too)
1 large vidalia oninon (yellow in color)

Pyrex or baking dish with enough room to hold all the peppers that has a side height of 2-4 inches.

step 1. preheat oven to 350*
step 2. hollow out the peppers
step 3. chop up your onion (how much onion used is your preference i use 1/2 the onion)
step 4. now combine ground beef, chopped onion, and 1 can of corn. mix up evenly.
step 5. now pop open 1 can of tomato soup and fill up each pepper 1/4 full
step 6. fill the peppers up with beef/onion/corn mix and pour some more tomato soup on top each one.
step 7. place filled peppers in pan, oven should be at temp by now, and place them in the oven. let the peppers cook 1-2 hours. (1 hour and their still a little crunchy. 2 hours and they will be nice and soft)
step 8. grab a bowl, place a pepper or two with some broth, take that other can of tomato soup and pour it over your pepper/s, and enjoy. :thumb:

#268978 Hell yea. I love to.cook 8)

I'll go second with a simple snack recipe, There called Bacon bites

1package cream cheese 8oz I think
1/2 pack of Bacon bits.(not imitation)
1/2 of a small onion chopped
1/4 cup of shredded Sharp cheddar Cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pack of cressants rolls (not the buttery kind)

Ok the instructions are easy......

Mix all ingredients together but the cressants. Take the cressants and lay them out in 4 even squares they should break up like this naturally rolling them out. Each square should be 2 triangles take and push the seams together on the squares. Now with your seams pressed and the squares whole. You divide the cream cheese mixture between all 4 evenly. Now spread the cream cheese out so its an even layer on the top of the squares. Now roll them up jelly roll style. And then slice them about 3/4 of an inch thick. Divide out onto a baking stone and bake at 350 for about 17 minutes +/-

Enjoy

#269016 Cheap, Simple and freaking tasty Chicken and Dumplings

6-8 Boneless Chicken Breasts
1 Large Box or 2 cans Chicken Broth
2-3 Tubes of Refrigerator Biscuits (the ones that pop when you open them :))
Flour
Season to taste

1) Cut chicken breasts in half, this will speed cooking a bit, and season with your favorite seasoning, I use salt, pepper, garlic and a special mixed organic seasoning I got from my mom.
2) Open biscuits, cut them in half, and then put some flower in a medium bowl and toss the biscuits in the flour to give them a light coat. This will help prevent them from sticking together as well as help thicken the broth as it cooks.
3)Pour chicken broth into a medium to large pot and bring it to a boil, then put in the chicken breasts with the biscuits on top, bring back to a boil if necessary and cover with a lid. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 20 minutes.
4)Enjoy this cheap and simple yet tasty and filling dish.

#269056 This one involves some outdoor time.

Ground beef
Beer (of choice)
Chili seasoning packet
Steak Fries
Hamburger buns

Prepare a mix of about a pound of ground beef, 1/2 a bottle of beer, and 1/2 a packet of chili seasoning (to taste, i'm cajun so i pour some extra lol).

Mix these together, then make hamburger patties with them. Put these on the BBQ pit... and you know the rest.

Before those are done, take the remaining chili seasoning in the packet and sprinkle them on the steak fries, arranged in a layer on a baking sheet and slide them in the oven.

They're SO good, and you can just drink the remaining beer you bought too! :hehe: It's good social food.

#269150 Taco's eg-guys way and by far one of my favorite meals

things you'll need

12-18 pack taco shells
1 lb ground beef (90/10 split)
spicy taco seasoning
1 vidalia onion (yellow)
1 can of corn or frozen corn in the bag
1 head of lettuce
1 small can of sliced jalopenos(not needed unless u like hot food)
1 small can of sliced black olives(not needed buy it go's great)
1 sour cream any size
1 bag of shredded chedder cheese, or block chese(i prefer block cheese and shred it manually)
1 16oz jar of old el paso HOT taco sauce(by far the best ive had)

Grab a medium to large pan, set temp to medium (unless your slow at chopping stuff up then set it a notch or two lower than medium to be safe) throw in the thawed beef, 3/4 package of taco seasoning and half can or whole can of corn. Pour a little water in the pan it helps keeps the meet soft. and put a cover over than pan.

while the meats cooking go ahead and cut up 3/4 of the onion however you like. Cut the head of lettuce in half and chop it up.

Next step you can skip if you already bought shredded cheese, shred that block of cheese as thin as possible then slap it into the freezer for a couple of minutes, this will keep the cheese you just shreded form sticking together in clumps.

After your done all the above the meat should be about ready to go. Now take the taco shells and slap em all in the oven set at broil, only leave the shells in there for 1-2 minute or they will get burnt like a mofo.

Now the rest is self explanitory.

If for some reason you have no idea how to put taco's together after following all steps abouve. heres a helpful how to, my way. In layers.

order in first to last: sour cream, then meat, then hot taco sauce, shredded cheese, chopped onion, thin cut lettuce, and jalopenos if wanted, i just use black olives on top.

now enjoy that orgasim in your mouth from some bomb ass mexican food you've just experienced. :thumb: :thumb:

#269220 got one for ya guys.

2lbs of ANGUS beef.
1/2 cup of applesauce
small bottle of worsteshire sauce. or tabasco depending on how your feeling
1/4 tspn works best but use as much or as little as you prefer

1lb package of bacon. (i like thick cut pepper bacon)
small block or tub of cream cheese
1/4 cup cliantro diced up real fine
4 jalapaneos diced up
salt and pepper to season

combine meat applesauce worsteshire/tabasco and salt and pepper together.
pat out patties about 5" across gently depressing a hollow into the cetner. you need to make 8 patties so make accordingly

combine slightly softened creem cheese with caliantro and jalaceno's until well mixed. add to top of 4 of the patties

take the other 4 patties and place them on top of the cream cheese patties pinching together to creat a stuffed pattie.

then wrap in bacon. i normally do 4 one way and one the other way to hod the ends together.

place on bbq on medium heat. otherwise the bacon will cook to fast leaving raw meat inside.

DO NOT press down or the cream cheese stuffing will pour out. lol

also keep a spray bottle handy for flareups cause the fat from the bacon will flare a bit

place on onion buns with an ice cold beer and prepare to enjoy burger heaven

my homie has a homemade rotissery grill that take about 8-12 hours to fully cook a pig non cut except gutted.

when i make pulled bbq pork i just slow cook it with one of those pot roast thingys you would make a roast in, aka slow cooker. then drain it and add either jack daniels bbq sauce or sweet baby rays bbq sauce.
MMMMMM.....mmmmmmm.... can't get much better.
