I just sold my 92 Civic hatch Teal yesterday because the body needed some rust repair all over and figured it is cheaper to get a different car. I have been looking into getting a 91 mazda miata, what's your opinions on these?

About 10 years ago I had a friend whose dad owned one. My friend would drive it to my house and we would make fun of him for hours. Come to think of it I don't really know why he put up with it. It was a purple color and some kind of special edition model, we always called it a girls car. After about 3 months or so, he finally gave me the keys and told me to drive it.
My opinion totally changed! It was so fun to drive! The throttle was super responsive and it handled like a dream.
So to answer your question, if you want something fun and aren't afraid of some dickheads making fun of you now and then, go for it.

They look tough once you lower them and add some wide wheels. And a cage

Haven't driven a miata but right now I'm driving a 94 Mazda Protegé lx model with dohc motor and it pulls more than my eg did with a d15b7  I've seen these fixed up mostly Turbo in em there along the same thing as the 323 just remember it's your car and in the end it's all up to your taste. Here's an website that has alot of aftermarket support. Corksport.com

Wow I picked up my miata this weekend almost a mint condition 91 mariner blue, never seen a winter and drives like a dream and the handling is amazing, the only flaw is how little room you have in the car but still does not bother me that much :thumb:

You know, the engine bay on the miata will hold a 5.0 very nicely.

Good friends of mine sold their Delsol's and got Miata's. I gave them lots of crap and would always beat them in a race. However they had much more fun. I got to drive their cars and they where very impressive. They have got me contemplating on selling my Delsol and building a Miata for a Track/Drift car. Its also pretty easy to stick a F20C from an S2k into them as well

Why Miatas are awesome:

The Miatas in this video have just suspension work done. No work done to the engines.

Miata's are not a bad choice. Good touring cars and very popular as there is a market for them.
