- Wed Nov 21, 2007 9:25 pm #30810 So my friend finally got his 07 civic SI turbocharged and tuned so he came down and gave me a ride in it, and DAMN! that thing pulls hard as shit! he has the greddy kit and that turbo spools so fucking quik i couldnt beleive it! at 2800 the turbo is at full boost and it pulls so hard up til red line that you cant even hear the VTEC kick in til your in 4th gear on the freeway! made me want to turbo my car so bad i went out this morn and got a second job! haha lol but he posts on 8th gen civic so im gna see if i can find sum pics, its a sleeper he took off all the si stickers and he doesnt even have a bov. haha ya jst thought id share!

my other firend has a RSX TYPE S iVTEC again..

i have a b16 VTEC...

vtec doesnt ''kick in'' for iVTEC motors.. theres a little gradual ''build up of power'' but its not like VTEC where it actaully pops.. and engages so youl never really be able to hear/feel the iVTEC

yes ivtec does kick in. There is a VTEC cam profile on the K20A2 as well as the K20Z. You must be confusing the iVTEC on the Civic Si 7th gens where it was valves opening at a certain rpm.
