who else keeps these?
I keep most of them in a file.
I just found 1 from 2008 and it was so weird.
It was in an envelope that also had 1 of my salary slips from my first job
Where I wasn't earning very much.
Anyways I can't believe I spent half my months salary on car parts lol.
How did I manage to survive haha

haha i keep all mine in a clear plastic sleave in my three ring binder...that way when i need to prove something or have to sell it i can prove what i have done and put into it...its a very smart idea, i cant tell you how many dudes try to say oh i did this or that and theres no proof...but we my freind have proof lol

Lol I agree with you saying there's proof of what's being done and so on.
Only invoices I didn't keep from the beginning was my service invoices.
Wish I did though

I have 2 folders full for the hatch. I keep everything. Some of the receipts are 10+ years old and the ink has faded away so it's a blank piece of paper

Same here keep all my stuff in a folder
I know when I was searching for a used motor on Craigslist they swore their motor had 15k miles on their rebuilt motor but their pictures of it say otherwise

I don't believe it unless there's proof
If the time ever comes to sell I know there wouldn't be no doubt

i did for my 94 mazda 323 and for my EF when i had it. it was great when i had my either car written off, i showed the insurance adjuster the invoice for the tires and stereo and said i want full price for those if they are going with the car or i can take them and you don't have to pay for either ($1000 for tires and rims, and 3k for the stereo).
i've only bought 2 used tires and some LCA bushings for my Eg so far. and oil changes i track the mileage and date in my toolbox

I got a folder full of all the maintenance/services done to my car since it left the lot. the OG owner bought it in Tucson AZ and there are a few months of service records there, then moved straight to Beaverton OR. then back down here to AZ. She kept everything from tire replacement, tune up to parts replacement/services receipts. She spend soooo much money at the dealership... for frequent tune ups and checks. but thats all good with me..
I keep the same records... except mine arent from honda dealerships lol I just have reciepts from buying parts/oil and replacing them myself.

I've never felt it necessary to keep records with my car. Never asked for records either..

For something like a civic where so many parts are stolen, I would be weary of buying a built car w/ no receipts.

2x my cousins friend made that mistake bought a ek with gsr swap and a whole bunch of goodies, drove home one day & got pulled over by CHP, turns out swap was stolen and so was everything on the car besides the shell
And my friend bought a crx with b16 swap supposedly rebuilt , only lasted 2 months and a rod was knocking at his door

wow the usa has such harsh laws about buying cars with swaps
what about if you buy a swap from like an auto wreckers how would that work down there
cause in B.C if you go to the wreckers and buy a like a b16 swap you just get a reciept saying you bought b16 say from sir no vin from the car
just swap it in and you have a motor

in that situation it was most likely an engine bought from a chop shop over a wreckers.
