Well, My GF of 4 years is going on a volunteer program for 9 months leaving Jan 3rd. Its located all accosted Canada. Its called Katimavik.

Katimavik is Canada’s leading national youth volunteer-service program.
For nine months, young people ages 17 to 21 live in groups of 11, in three different communities throughout the country. They work 35 hours a week on volunteer community projects in addition to participating in structured learning activities. Katimavik fosters participants’ personal development through community involvement, training and group life.

She was accepted about 2 years ago but had to turn it down because of school, so now this is her opportunity.
I'm gonna miss her like crazy, but i am very happy she is going for it is something she has wanted to do for as long as i have known her. :woot:

Hopefully i will have you guys to keep me entertained, and i'll have my eh3 to keep me busy!

I knew people that did the Katimavic thing, they actually use to stay in a house not from from me when i lived in Fredericton.

So is there a specific place she is going, or is she going all across Canada?

thanks guys and thats the same thing i am thinking its not that long. My wrist will be really strong thats for sure. :lol:

Craig, if it helps any, my.. well now ex. anyway we were together for 5 years and three of that was long distance, she was in Fredericton, and i was on the island. only got to see each other on holidays, and summer.
