Let's see. These aren't all import related but they are great car movies and documentaries in my opinion.
After making this list I see that the majority of these are older documentaries and movies that our parents probably watched, which in my opinion makes them great because you can get a better view of how the car culture has evolved over the decades.
1. "Climb Dance" which is short but very sweet, documenting a run up Pikes Peak.
2. "Rendezvous" by Claude Lalouch which predates all the Getaway in Stockholm videos, also short but very sweet.
3. "Love the Beast" which is about actor Eric Bana's love of racing and 25 year relationship with his first car, a Ford Falcon GT coupe. IMHO, a definite must see for anybody who considers themselves a true car enthusiast.
4. "American Graffiti", Goerge Lucas's 60's coming of age movie with some great old school car action.
5. "Two-Lane Blacktop", story of two men who drag race there way across the U.S. in a primer gray '55 Chevy.
6. "Bullitt", containing what is considered the best movie car chase of all time, starring Steve McQueen.
7. "Smokey and the Bandit", one and two, three sucked.
8. "Cannonball Run", one and two.
9. "The Speed Merchants", chronicles the 1973 season of GT Cars race series.
10. "Urban Outlaw", short documentary about Magnus Walker who collects, restores and modifies early Porsche 911's.
11. "Dust to Glory", behind the scenes documentary about the Baja 1000.
12. "Truth in 24", Audi's preparation for the 2008 24 hours of Lemans.
13. "Too Fast to Race" & "Still Too Fast to Race", about Group B Rallying.
14. "Catch Me If You Can"(1989), a teenager street races to try and raise money to save his school.
15. "Thunder Road", Robert Mitchum Stars as a moonshiner running hooch and evading the cops.
16. "Best Motoring" series, documentaries about Japanese cars.
