- Tue Apr 01, 2008 1:57 am #48552 So Uncle sam is going to hold my car in a parking lot for a year when i deploy. It's gonna sit in a parking lot and rot. I know i'll have to disconnect the battery but does anyone have any other knowledge on how to keep the car in ok condition so its bearable to drive when i come back. we're talking about a b16 crx

A good coat of wax will help protect it from the sun's beating.

If you have some steelies w/ crappy tires, I'd throw those on and let them dry out instead of your good tires.

Be sure you don't have any leaks in the hatch. Not sure about CRX's, but EG hatches are notorious for this.

Maybe put one of those card board windshield covers on the inside of your windshield to protect the dash from the hot sun.

If it has a sunroof, be sure the water passage channels are clear.

P.S. What month is it? Im so confused right now, i forgot where i was this morning where i woke up...think the short term memory losses the doc was warning me about is starting to kick in...FUCK
