#56151 Who's plans for motor swaps and what not have been postponed because of rising gas prices? I know for me it has definitely. The price of a swap and everything with it, along with the fact that I'd have to start putting premium in my car is just not going along with my budget at all. Tuition has gone up this year and I don't want to risk not having money for school, so major car projects have been set aside. What about you guys?

#56153 Mine also! Was planning on 300hp or w/e i could get out of my bottom end built d16... I have the parts to do it, but i'm just going with a stock motor for this season. $1.28 a liter is a little much for me.

#56158 Yeah, I'm putting 87 in mine and plan to be doing so until next summer at least. Coming out of high school I am making 10 dollars an hour which is damn good for my age, but it's still just not a good financial decision to dump money into my car. I really need to get my car checked out though because the gas mileage seems to be sucking lately.

Same here. The last half of my tank always seems to disappear in a hurry, it really pisses me off.

you pay $1.28 per liter, you guys dont know how good you have it.

you should try living over here with a car that demands high octain fuel (99 Ron)

we have to pay, on average, £1.21 which is about $2.40 :o :o :o

#56176 Gas prices for my Civic have also gone up. I used to be paying $5.00/gallon for 100 octane, but just last week it jumped to $6.49/gallon. You know what else sucks teh balls........I only get about 10-15 miles to the gallon, depending how I'm driving. Ahhhhhh, the joys of a built engine. :x

#56181 At the moment prices are really shit around the world. I'm so broke atm that I just stare at my Civ out the window as it's constantly on the red. :(

Can't drive it until next pay day.

#56188 I dont think my new engine is going to be any worse than my current one in terms of economy, im going to have to use 99 ron petrol though which is pricey but i dont really care to be honest :P the price here is getting pretty stupid, but ive no choice but to pay it. Ive not been using my car much at all recently, walking to uni etc instead of driving so that saves a fair amount of cash and keeps me fit too

#56208 Quite enjoying my 46mpg. Don't think a swap will happen until this motor goes kaput. Then probably another vx motor back into it :D
