fireworks?

so i live in new jersey and jsut got stopped for "speeding" which was a lie. the cop looked in my car and saw a small pack of bottle rockets. so of course suspicion he decides to search my car. he found another pack of waterproof fireworks.
so he found two things of fireworks. both small. but he charged me with possession of fireworks. so what will i get as a result of this. i have to show up in court next month.

must be a law in your state. In OH you can buy them and have them, but I think you can get in trouble for using them. guess every state is different....
I remember living down south when I was a kid you could buy the good shit and use it with no worry.

it really is fuckin ridiculous, new jersey is only one of five states where fireworks are illegal. all the rest there legal. wtf!

they got fireworks stores that sell the big stuff in PA too right acrossed the border of NJ and PA and they illegal in jersey? its so fucked up. ill be sure to let everyone know what happens in court over some dumb shit like this

I got pulled over last fourth of july with 2k worth of fireworks. The cop asked for the receipt I showed it to him. he said "so your going to Geogria huh?" I said yeah. He said get the hell out of Ohio and do the speed limit.
When you buy fireworks from a firework store you have to fill out a form saying your not going to shoot them off in the state you bought them in. If you show the cops this they will most likely let you go.

It's illegal to buy or even have fireworks in my town but the town next to mine which is a 10 min drive from my house its llegal to have fireworks

Oh shit dude...im from NY...and this same thing happened to me...i got a speeding ticket, unlawful possesion of fireworks...and unlawful possession of marijuana >< (was my buddies weed in the car) ...anywho dude, this shit is kind of a big deal...the fireworks they could've thrown me in jail for...i ended up having to do 24 hrs of community service JUST for that..i only had a small pack of bottle rockets too...so be ready for that shit dude =/
