those cars were $68k - $85k new depending on the options :death:

It already looks so dated too, it was the first of the new designs and I don't think BMW had it nailed down all the way yet....

the headlights look akward and the rear lights remind me of an early 90's ford escort. The side profile looks good though.

Most of the problems were fixed and 2003 and 2004 are MUCH more improved when it comes to electronic problems. 2002 is the WORSE year. I know cause I drove one and it went into limp mode numerous times due to 2 bad coils and the 2002 idrive is definitely hard to use compared to the newer updated 2008 version.
