Civic EG

so i decided to run down to the junk yard to get a new MC and BB. i found one and got it off as i was walking out i saw a civic with new headlight assembly on it! very excited cuz i have been looking for them to start my hid retrofit. so now i can do two the things i wanted to fix my MC and BB and retro fit my new hid lights.

did the headlights have clear lens's or just oem ones? cause if they are the oem ones you wont get the same output. here's an example

shit they really make that much of a difference? what can i do then, they are the oem ones.

Any and all lens's will effect output, your best bet would be to get some aftermarket ones that have clear lens's, or get some lexan and make your own, the lexan will allow for the best output, but will also be the hardest to do

i went to the yard to get the headlights thinking they would work good. can i retro fit them then swap them over when i get new headlights?

fuck it i aint doing the retro fit anymore anyways. i tried and failed. i was using tl projectors and fuck they are huge. so fuk it no hids for me

shit man TL's aren't impossible, i've seen em done in civic headlights, takes alot of modification for em but you can get em to fit lol. Look for a set of FX35 ones and get clear lens's they are almost as good as the TL's but smaller.

do you know where they have a diy to tl projectors in a eg headlight? maybe i doing it wrong who knows.

Cant seem to find it, but it basically involved alot of custom fabrication on the back of the EG headlight, but my god the output would be worth it lol

i wish i could find it too i want to get this to work. if not maybe ill have to make one up. the thing is i have the tl bi xenon projectors and they have the highbeam switch on the top? i think it goes on the top. am i correct in saying this? and do you have any tips on retro fitting it? i would have to make it come in from the back and not from the front cuz with the switch on it its too wide to even fit in the light. thanks for any help in advance.
