Ways to make your D series faster, Questions & ANSWERS

Hello,

i was wondering if on a high compression sohc engine,


PORTING the HEAD,IM would help out AT ALL ?

any difference ?


ALSO, what are some thing that will help out in performance in a high CR D16 VTEC motor ?

does a fuel rail,cam gear,high flow gas filter, help out ?

and what is the highest combination to make a D series ?

You will get most of your power from your head work. A good p&p and cam will wake up any motor.

As for what will help out with a high CR motor, an adjustable cam gear, a bigger TB, great headers, and a good intake. The last thing you will need and a Good Tune.

The Fuel rail stock is just fine. You dont need to change that.


Im not sure what you mean by Combination to make a D series.

what i mean is what HEAD and BLOCK combination is BEST for a NA SOHCm D DRIVER.

i have heard z6 block+head b7 block+z6 head , also i heard a6 block+z6 head ??

complete z6 is a good start. From there you can chande the pistons and rods out. Depending on what you consider High CR, you can use OEM honda pistons from different motors to get anywhere from 10-13:1.

I've heard the D16Z6 block and the JDM D15B head are the best combo. then, go buy a bunch of bisimoto internals

d15b and z6 head are the same. its the cam that differs. but that will be changed in an all motor car anyway.

Would a D15B cam fit DIRECT into a Z6 head, ? and what would it help out if any ?

IM not sure if its a direct fit. I dont see why it wouldnt fit as long as its a vtec cam. Not sure how it will help out a Z6 though.

You might as well just get a real cam for your motor instead of sticking with a stock one.

It will take alot from the D to beat most H or K swapped cars. Little be less to beat B swapped ones. If your goal is to beat those motors then you might want to shy away from All motor and go turbo.


It will cost more and you will not get the same power. But it is also fun to go all motor.

This is an allmotor D build I had planned for mine. Not sure if it will ever happen though now.

but heres what im riding on,


D16Z6 HEAD: PORT-n-polished, shaved 0.000102, 3 angle valve job, skunk 2 springs,skunk2 valves, FULLY REBUILT head with the rest of the part oem honda,



D16A6 block: HIGH CR pistons, honed,oversized,fully rebuilt, balanced cranks, oversized bearings,


D16Y7 metal head gasket, TOOK OUT 2ND LAYER,


running P28 ,with skunk2speed TUNED, at madison WI,

al in a 94 vx shell,

all out, its making 245.7 WHP , NOT CRANK !

13:5:1 CR

i rape B's,H's,K's all day long if they are stock and swapped..


i just wanted to know if i can get soem more info, and yes stock injectors and fuel rail,



just few other options,


AND THE BEST THINg, i can beet on it all day long, and i KNOW it WONT blow as its has 1,35# miles currently, and turbo cars can blow any minute.

Im goin to have to call BS :bs: On that power. Will need proof. Dyno sheet and crap like that. almost 250hp out of what you listed is not gonna happen. You didnt even have an aftermarket cam. Its a pain to get 200hp all motor out of B series motors. it takes more than what you listed. lots.

People get banned for a reason. Cant argue with it. You do something stupid and you get what you deserve. No clue who any of those peaple are that you named, but if they didnt help out the site and community, they hurt it.

No one in the history of civic-eg has made themselves look like such an ass by use of poor spelling and awful grammar :lol:

ps. when your boy KRYSTED or whatever his name was (the guy on here who typed a lot like you do) pays for the stickers I shipped him, he will be unbanned for scamming.

I helped him out a lot when other people gave him shit because they couldn't translate his posts into normal english, and he still felt the need to never pay for the stickers. So he is done.

But personally, I'd rather he not pay for the stickers so I have a fair reason to keep him and posts like this off the site :D

funny, because a FEW months ago krysted yes thats what it is, was in a accident and is still recovering mabey THATS why he didnt pay, u want my photobucket so u can c pictures of him , and when u look at his face u WONt even knwo who the fuck and what it is ? im sorry by th way he is a very good friend that lived 30 minutes or so, and spelling this is all done of my psp so its hard to type accurate with out typing for DAYs tring to make sure spelling i good, sorry

but yeah ill pay 4 the sticker, and he was going to give u a spoiler or a lip i think for free and he was up for it but then he had problems went out crashed flipped 7 times, and thats it mabey thats why, next time if ur smart id us should reasearch not just ban,
