Read the article again, its true black and dark coloured cars do create more emissions as black absorbs heat, and California is a hot place!!! So your A/C has to work harder or be on for longer, meaning more emissions

Read the article again, its true black and dark coloured cars do create more emissions as black absorbs heat, and California is a hot place!!! So your A/C has to work harder or be on for longer, meaning more emissions

Yeah black cars get a lot hotter inside then lighter cars so I could see darker cars putting out more emissions from people cranking the AC. There have been a few studies on it in the early 90's, shoot even Bill Nye did an episode on the differences between black and white cars

Because California is full of crazy eco hippys. Thats why auto manufacturers make 2 versions of a car for the US, a 49state version, and a California Version.
