So I'm planning on adding a pole barn behind our house this year. I'm not going to be able to go all out as I wanted. One of the first things crossed off of the list was a bathroom. (still plan on having water/sink though)
So I'm not going to come up to the house every time I have to piss so I'm going to put up some spare fence behind the barn and just go back there.

I heard that dog piss can kill the grass if it pees in the same spot every time. I know cat piss is pretty potent as well. What about Human piss? We drink a lot more liquids, so ours should be more diluted right?

So does anyone piss out side in the same area often and did it kill the grass/plants after a while?

(I was actually debating putting a urinal on the wall and just running a pipe through to behind the barn)

hmm... just the urinal without a "flush" wont smell pleasant inside and out

just walk to a tree semi far from where your workin and piss there

your already gonna have water/drain there, just had a urnial there with a few side protectors, like the ones they have in the bathrooms.

Piss in the sink

I piss outside all the time. I have woods I can go pee on. I usually pee on invasive species or poison ivy :p

i piss through the fence onto the neighbor's bushes, and the bush ain't dead yet.

The sink/drain will be toward the front of the building, the thru the wall urinal would have been on the back wall. I would just take a cup of water with me to dump in the urinal after I pee.

But maybe peeing is random spots behind the barn is the way to go.

As for the smell I've heard plain clear vinegar, sprayed? I suppose. And baking soda...sprinkled? haha.

As some one who has a Horticultural Engineering Degree and has worked landscaping the last 6 year in Ohio, you'll be fine peeing on your grass as long as you don't use a lot of commercial fertilizers. And as often as I pee outside I've never had or heard of a smell issue, or the grass dying off. Although dog urine can kill grass from the higher ammonia levels then human urine.

I never had a problem and I always pissed in the same spot outside the garage.
