here it is, they did the blue airbrushing over the factory white, then sprayed the while thing with a satin clear.

I wish I knew more info like who makes the paint, that car was at SEMA 2003. They might not even make that paint any more

- Thu Sep 27, 2007 2:47 pm #24320 The paint I used was Aervoe Camo paint. It was $50 for a gallon. I also primer/sealed the car with flat black, and we used cheap Dupli-Color reducer with the Aervoe paint. My friend was amazed at how well it sprayed! He's an amateur body man/ hobbiest. So he helped me do the body work and the paint. I did learn a lot doing this though, I mixed and sprayed the primer sealer. He did the Olive just to keep us from having to do a lot of wet sanding. The best thing to remember is no matter how bad you screw up, wet sanding is your friend!

I'm fine with the fact that it's not flat. I actually like this color and amount of shine.

Teal, www.colorrite.com makes an egg shell clear like they had on the Honda 919 with the asphault paint. This gives you the flat look. It's a bit pricey though.

- Thu Sep 27, 2007 2:56 pm #24321 I always get fucked with taping things off, no matter how well I try, I miss a spot or I get a run or some overspray, and it's really hard to find the amount of free time I need to do everything correctly and to the finish.

I know what you mean about taping things off.. It sucks!!! lol I have a few spots that werent perfect, but the corner lights, seals, and stuff is all getting replaced eventually, so I didn't really care.
