Hey, I'm John.

I came over from Redline9 to follow ChicagoMike's progress and to learn the intricacies of the EG hatch.

I have two DC4 Integras. One is a 1994 LS and it is "totalled" according to the insurance company, but it's still totally driveable... The other is a 1997 LS.

Currently, I'm gathering parts for a NA 84x89 LS/VTEC and hoping for around 250whp at 12.5:1 (ish) CR and nothing less than 100 octane. That engine will go in the 1997 LS. Ask me about it if you want, but I haven't made any progress on it aside from getting a block and a crankshaft so far.

I'm also constantly on the hunt for a 1992-95 EG hatch to drop in a mildly built B18B1 from the 1994 LS (I need to rebuild the engine before doing that). Again, NA. But this time with ITR pistons and possibly Crower cams, haven't decided on that part yet.

Anyways, I'm new here, I live in North Texas, and my name is John.

Thanks for the welcome!

I'll never go turbo! I can't handle waiting for my power to be made...besides, *most* of these engines don't blow enough air to spool a turbo fast enough for my liking. If I'm going to turbo something, it'll be a twin turbo Chevy 350cid V8...

I'm working on getting pictures up right now, actually. The 94 is in pretty rough shape paint and body wise, but the engine runs better than just about anything else on the road. It's NHBP (yeah, it's actually the pearl color rather than the metalic Nighthawk Black), but it's all faded and oxidized. The 97 in actually in great shape aside from the tires that are about as bald as the palm of my hand... It's dark green (don't know the actual paint code or name or whatever...) with a tan leather interior that I swapped with the tan cloth interior from the 94.

Mods on both are as follows:

1994:
Intake resonator chamber removed.
HASport race durometer engine mounts.
Custom billet alluminum front lower mounts (urethane inserts).
Hondata intake manifold heatshield gasket (those don't do any good...honestly).
Gutted interior (literally nothing but two seats, a dashboard, door panels, and headliner).
Energy Suspension shifter bushings, rear trailing arm bushings, rear sway bar bushings.
USDM GSR rear sway bar (1mm difference makes a HUGE difference in handling characteristics).
Megan Racing short shifter.

1997:
Intake resonator chamber removed.
K&N drop in air filter.
Power Slot slotted rotors (front and rear).
Hawk HPS ceramic pads (front and rear).

Pictures soon. I have to go swap some more parts from the 94 to the 97. It's 102 degrees outside...fml.
