DRIVING W/O POWER STEERING

OK WELL MY POWER STEERING IS LEAKING AND I DECIDED INSTEAD OF BUYING A NEW RACK TO JUST LEAVE IT HOW IT IS...IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE OUT THE P/S RACK AND DRIVE W/O IT OR DO I HAVE TO LEAVE IT IN EVEN THOUGH IM NOT GONNA USE IT...HELP POR FAVOR

no you need the rack.. its what turns the wheels

if you want.. it will eventually brake on you and your gonna have to replace it.. but i guess theres 2 diff types of rack.. not to sure but 1 is for when u dont have p/s and one is for when u have p/s

OO OK..WILL IT DAMAGE ANYTHING ELSE IF I LEAVE IT TILL IT GOES OUT??

not 100% sure
you could have some suspension damage
but again not 100% sure

You can get a manual steering rack to replace your dumb power unit.
or you can just drain the fluid and remove all the lines and such and "convert" it so to speak to manual steering that way.... I wouldn't really recommend that way but ive seen it done to two cars with no problems
