Like to start off by saying that i know alot of people that love the EG just the way it is will hate my car, but i have put alot of time and work into it taking care to fab every thing i can my self, and i intend to continue just that for as long as i own it.
here are the pics

History
I bought this car just before charismas. It was a stock 92 base model that some one had swapped a d16z6 into. I bought this car after my firebird was totaled. At the time I was looking at getting a house and getting married in a few months, and was sick of paying $200 a month on a car i was not happy with, and didn’t have any money to modify.
The civic fit the bill nicely:
- bought cash out
- good reliable daily driver
- plenty of affordable aftermarket
Current mods:
- DC integra front end swap
- DC integra show off 3 front bumper
- smooth fiberglass rear hatch (brand?)
- cheep-o short throw shifter
- energy suspension shifter bushings
- energy suspension rear strut bushings
- magnaflow 2" full exhaust
- 2.5" progressive lowering springs (brand?)
- knock off konig rated R 16" rims wrapped in new kumho ecsta's
- pioneer double din touch screen dvd player
current parts sitting and waiting for after the wedding
Image
- rear fender skins
- b18a engine/trans/all the fixins
- p72 ecu
- b18b wire harness
- b18b speedo sender unit
- hasport cable trans conversion kit
- 94 integra after market shifter linkage/short throw shifter (brand?)
- 94 integra stock injectors
- 94 integra dizzy
- 98 gsr front spindles, calipers, brackets
- 98 gsr rear trailing arms, calipers, brackets
- 94 integra (non abs) master cylinder/vacuum booster
- summit racing vented rotors/ceramic pad combo pack (all 4 corners)
- earls stainless steel braded lines
- 98 integra coupe e-brake cables
- 98 integra caliper repair and hardware kits
- EG coupe blitz rear bumper and side skirts (some mod required)
- ASR sub frame brace (ricy blue! i love it)
- function 7 rear LCA's
- energy suspension full poly bushing kit
- energy suspension trailing arm bushing set
- suspension technique rear sway bar
- perfect power smt6 piggy back ecu
- HKS bov with pipe
future buys (when some of my stuff on ebay sells!)
- integra carbon fiber hood
- new aftermarket headlights
- carbon fiber spoon style eg wing
- possibly integra tail light graft
- door popper kit/handle shave
- door bump guard shave
- integra wide body blisters (all four corners)
- cheep-o ebay d16 turbo kit (just get a B series turbo manifold when time comes)
the game plan
as you can see from the list of parts i have been focusing mostly on handling and braking. After the wedding (beginning of my) I will start re-building the braking system then swapping it in, Start cutting down the coupe side skirts and rear bumper, smooth out all the nasty body work that has been done to this thing (other than mine), and getting some paint on this (going to live in flat black for a while).
I will then start to build up the b18b slowly as a boost motor. No specific goal in mind, just would like to have a reliable DD that will surprise (not necessarily beat) the occasional vette.

So thats it and thats all for now.
I will be contributing just as much as i can.
please keep in mind what you see now is very rough, and i might be a noob to hondas but im no noob when it comes to repair/restoration/modification.

You are correct..you took a perfectly good car and riced it out..I'll give you a thumbs up for fab'ing it all yourself but that's about it.

Been here. Done this. You will definitely get criticized for the change. But I will still commend you for the fab work. That front end swap was a pain in my ass as well.
Good luck, and as long as your happy. F******** what others think.

not perfectly good. the last owner was going to part it out and sell the rest to the scrap yard becasue of all the rust on the rear end and no one seemed to want a 3 color car
Image
(cant see it all that well in those pics but in my others you can see how bad the rear fenders are...
thank you for respecting the work tho.

thank you all for the welcome..
definetly a warmer reception than i have gotten from other forums. Lot of people seem to be under the mind set that a $1200 rusted out civic hatch that would be nothing more than a winter beater to most is super valuable and is totaly wrecked if some one does any exterrior other than stock repair/replacment. Well, its not that mind set that bothers me its the fact that most of the same people try to some how convince me that i did a bad thing saving this car from being parted out
im very glad that none of you seem to be that way so far.

and your semi local to me too! where were you a few months ago???
LOL
i ended up talking to a few of the guys that did the jdm teg front end swap at auto adictions in rochester to get the game plan set up.

LOL,
no I have the feeling my car will be up there soon without my intervention..
im ok with being called a ricer, if thats the look I end up with.
nah the goal is to make it look as clean, agressive, but not "slap you up side the head rice"much the same look as the subaru I turned out... That seems to be the style my cars take on..
like diet rice

the truly sick part about all of this is im starting to like it when people call me a ricer! re-enforcement that im not just following a trend.
I admit i dont love that front end 100% but it was cheap ($200 shipped) and looked wayyyy better than the stock one.
The stock front bumper on this car made it look too bubbly for my taste.. I needed something to sharpen up the front end.

I've seen that front end conversion before! Although I'm not a fan by any means, it doesn't really matter what I think, so as long as you like it. I'm sure that once you're finished with your Civic, (Namely paint) it'll all come together nicely. You've made a lot of progress so far. Keep us posted!

Kudos on the Subaru!

I'm not a big fan of front end conversions but it looks like you did a good job at it. It looks a lot better painted a solid color.
