#131778 Alright I had a D15z1, I took the Complete intake, exhaust manifold, ecu, engine harness, and transmission....

Put all of that on a D16z6.....

The car is a Canada Model 92 VX, 5 wire o2 sensor, 5spd

The car cranks up just fine, idles fine, and anything past half throttle it runs great. I have horrible bogging issue's under half throttle. Was this done wrong and what do I need to fix it. I am getting nothing but the run around from local shops and company that did the work.

***Important note, I am no honda expert and don't claim to be one, BUT Damit I Don't think this was done right*****

I had this motor put in by someone and this is what they did.

#131845 you are using the vx ecu and with the z6 head? That is a problem right there. Those 2 were never designed to be used together. The fuel maps are very different. The vx engine burns lean to achieve greater MPG. The z6 head was never designed for that application, but is the performance head (least mpg) of the SOHC's. Not to mention the tiny vx intake is choking the potential of the z6.

They kind of did half of a swap, and it's definitely not something I would keep driving on.

Also that VX tranny is the longest geared D series tranny honda made. Great for mpg but horrible for acceleration. The z6 tranny is the shortest geared tranny, I would try to find one to go with your motor.

The company that let your car leave their shop should learn what they are doing

So basically I need to get a z6 ecu and intake. I don't mind the tranny for now, I am not after acceleration just yet. I should have been more of an ass about it when I picked it up. I knew something was up... damit!!

Anybody got either!!

#131937 You will need to get the z6 intake and exhaust manifolds, ECU and wire harness. Z6 doesnt use a 5 wire o2 sensor.

You will want the tranny sooner or later, since it is the best D tranny honda made. You can always hybrid out one to make a better one, but thats not easy.

#132073 Well looks like I will be getting the ECU swapped out and I will just do the intake on my own. I don't want them to work on the car anymore.
