- Tue Jan 19, 2010 7:11 am #169476 Hey guys im in the middle of doing my mini me swap. I painted my fuel rail without putting some sort of bonding agent, the paint didnt take at all!!. My question is are their any internals in a fuel rail i could damage with paint thinner??

- Tue Jan 19, 2010 1:59 pm #169510 Nope, it's just solid aluminum. Use an enamel instead of a lacquer paint, it will resist fuel better.

X2. thiner is almost like fuel.great cleaner on metal and aluminum parts.
