- Sun Nov 09, 2008 6:14 am #77879 Car is a 92 4dr EX. I finally finished reassembling the motor (d16z6) and got the harness all plugged up. I had the battery checked and was told its still good. So I turn the key to ON and the lights and stuff goes on and the fuel pump is buzzing. So far so good. I go to start the car and nothing... No crank. Imma take out the starter and take a look at it when I get a chance. It was working before I take the motor apart. But just to go over some of things..theres only two wires that go to the starter, the one that gets bolted onto the starter and the black plug right? as in the pic




Also, I read in another thread to give the starter solenoid a few whacks. Is this advisable? and ummm which part is the solenoid??

EDIT: Turns out the starter was good. I was missing a ground on the tranny Thanks for all the help guys
