Overheating problem.

- Tue Jul 22, 2008 1:13 am #62887 Most likely the head gasket, but to answer your question, the FITV has coolant exposed to air. I know because if you bypass the FITV, you have to plug it or it causes a vacuum leak. So at some point the coolant itself is sealing the air in.
