i just installeld my header last night and now my cel is on. i disconnected the battery for >10 seconds and still on. is it going to run rich now b/c of this? or do i need to get it tuned so the ecu wont think there is a problem. also i was thinking of replacing the o2 sensor. could that help?

if it helps i have a d16z6 w/ cold air intake and header.

thats weird. just changing the header like you did should not throw a code. but i would say it has to do with the o2 sensor...

did you check the code? http://civic-eg.com/viewtopic.php?t=1558

I also bet it is the o2 sensor, they are fragile. They can break if you drop them on the floor.

x3..
Check you O2 sensor again and make sure that you put it back tight, then try disconnecting the battery for 5mins.
Well at least that's what I did when my car gave me a cel. :thumb:

yeah i think im going to go ahead and change the o2 sensor. the cel is blinking, it doesn't come on when i turn the car on at first. then when i shift into reverse, it comes on w/ no blinks. and also now my header is making a puttering sound. not normal is it?

ya, its inside ur o2 to help warm up the o2, so your car will go into "close loop" quicker..
