What size backbox would be best for an EG3 (Civic 1.3 dx)? I read somewhere that a car with little power like mine shouldn't have one bigger than 2" as it will lose power instead of gain power, is this true? Thanks.

ya, you need the back pressure..



if your gonna replace it all, might as well put 2.25" on it. it'll sound a little better and i doubt you'll notice any power loss. those 1.3's push like 60hp anyway..

no just replacing back box, and you don't know how many hp mines pushing.

well, if your worried about back pressure i'd assume your motor is NA, and since you stated you have the DX with the 1.3....




bolt ons to that motor aren't gonna get you much.. so ya, maybe 60whp

Naturally Aspirated. meaning no forced induction from a turbo/supercharger/blower. also considered "all motor"
