If you stick with anything name brand, you should be fine. AEM V2 intake is supposed to be a good improvement as far as intakes go, but pricey. There's more effective ways to spend that kind of money for horsepower.

What I have on there is a short ram system. I was thinking about picking up a used whale penis maybe.
Would it matter if I changed the intake after I did the tune?

What would you consider other effective ways?

no intake is gonna add drastic power over another really, they just sound different. IMO aluminum short rams sound best. i had one of the 2 piece cold air intakes and it was definitely louder without the extension.

shorter the better for hp.

longer the intake is better for low end and mid

4-2-1 header for low end and mid

4-1 header for up top

thats the general rule.

i have a simple intake setup... just put a k&n filter on the stock throttle body and bang you have the shortest intake possible.
