the other night a friend and i hooked up vtec on my car (95 cx) and we wired up vtec to a p28. the car ran for about 30sec. and just died. now its not getting any spark. just wondering if anybody knows what it could be. i changed to plugs and still nothing.

you should have ran 2 wires to the ecu and 1 ground. did you follow the same wiring as mentioned in the stickied mini-me thread? ecu is plugged in all the way?

yeah i did that. i grounded it some place by the fender. all grounds are connected. where exactly is the coil located. not familiar with that.

the coil is inside of the distributor.
can you borrow a different distributor to try on your car?

Can you go into detail about your wiring? What kind of wire you used, what kind of connectors, what you cut into, how you pinned it into the ECU, how you ran the wire through the firewall etc?

i think i used 14g wire. cut the wires on the vtec solenoid and the oil pressure. i pinned the wires to the ecu. a4 and d6 i think, i used a diagram. i ran the wires through a little hole that was blocked with a plastic piece, i just took that out and ran it through.
