so i bought a no name after market header and i was wondering how do i know if it has good welds or not. and if it will stay together in the heat.

well if you already bought it you might ass well test it out and find out if it hold usually the cheaper headers hold pritty good in all motor aplication but the turbo ones usually crack after a while.

well i was asking because i don't want the welds to crack and i get stranded.

I've had mine for about 7 months and mine haven't cracked. I think you should be good. besides, I doubt you'll be left stranded.

it will be loud and your o2 readings will be a little off (lean?) but you can limp it home.

did you buy it new or used?

the guy claims its new. it seems new. it didn't come with a gasket that connects to the engine. will i need one? can i buy it from autozone? or somewhere else?

i have a no name ebay header.... I actually like it alot... welds look decent and it been fine.... it WAS stainless steel.. .now its a rainbow color :thumb:

Yes you need one.

I second that. You bought it, now live with it. It wont blow up your engine. Just hang on to your stock manifold.

yes i am well aware i bought it, but i don't have to live with it. i can throw it away.

seriously tho,

i'm not worried about my engine blowing i'm worried the exhaust won't have anywhere to go and mess up the car. i got it all figured out though so thanks for worrying.
