Honda Civic ESI 1992..

My friend is selling his Civic ESI 92 model, I noticed that the Panel Gauge is for an automatic engine but it has a manual transmission, my question is would an automatic engine be fitted with a manual transmission?
I;d just like to make sure if the Engine is still the stock engine or may have also been replaced.

Ok the guages might have been swapped because im pretty sure that esi's were 5 speed manual SOHC D16Z6's. But theres no such a thing as an automatic or manual engine. Its only the transmission that is either.

did esi's come stock with autos? wiki says only 5 speed.

auto was an option yeah. rare though.

Yeah, ESi came with automatic transmission. You know Wiki is an online shit which can be edited by the world yeah? Don't read everything from there man.
