#61964 I've done it to my own car. you use a coat hanger and a paint scraper (i used a plastic one)
Image

you peel back the weather stripping then shove the paint scraper in between the top of the door and the window and pry it slightly outward, then make a small loop at the end of an unwound coathanger, and shove it down and put the looped end against the door lock inside the car and turn it towards the back until it unlocks.

I locked my keys in the car one night :P

#62113 Thieves like to stick a screwdriver under the plastic door handle and open it that way.

They can also pop your hood with a screw driver, even if your hood cable is re-routed. You can cut and fold some sheet metal and sandwich it underneath the two bolts holding the latch down.

#68701 guys guys guys.. dont route it in the fender still! this has to go thru the ENGINE bay. it's the safe way! what u need to do is block the latchet from the bottom. i could force my hand thru the bottom grill of the bumper and grab the hood cable from there and pull it for the hood to open.

#171565 Anyone who has had a professionally installed alarm in there car and still had there car broken into knows that at some point your guard will be down and you will not be around to hear it or just wont hear it because your asleep or busy. Lets face it. Most theives are people that know you and something about your car specificly. You will never be able to completly stop them from breaking in and taking things. The best two things you can do for a sense of security is to get an alarm with a pager type 2 way remote with good range( some use the iphone which would work almost anywhere) and use a fuel shut off type bypass to prevent them from steeling the whole thing. Mount the switch somewhere where you will actually use it regularly. Not somewhere thats a hassle. Or else you wont even use it.

Even Low Jack is not a sure thing though. I copied and paste this from the LoJack website. Not many people know this for some reason just think its good info.

The patented LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System includes a small Radio-Frequency transceiver hidden in one of 20 places in your vehicle. Each LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System has a unique code that is tied into the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). When a theft is reported to the police, a routine entry into the state’s police crime computer results in a match of the LoJack System's unique code against the state VIN database. This automatically activates the LoJack Unit in your vehicle, which emits an inaudible signal. Law enforcement authorities that are equipped with LoJack Police Tracking Computers—in their police cars and aviation units—are always listening for a LoJack signal. Police use the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System to track and recover your LoJack-equipped vehicle.

The last two sentences are the most important. So if your police department doesnt have this "LoJack Police Tracking Computer" then your S.O.L. Best thing to do before buying LoJack is to make sure you city PD carries this tracking computer in there cars. Even then you might get that one cop who doesnt like what some people call "ricers" and not give a sh!t. Being that they can see what type of car they are looking for.
