yes i replaced it with a brand new distributor and got cel 4 still. yeaa.. my new dizzy is held by 2 bolts just like my old one. i was pushing hard on my car with the old dizzy with two bolts, but i dont think it would cause cel 4.
with the new dizzy, it does start up much much better, and then the code comes on. im happy to get my car started at least for now.
i have the jdm b16a, and my dizzy is obd2??

its a TD-44u from the 2000 civic si my old one was TD-81u no signs of force fitment. i believe my old dizzy still works if i still have my CEL 4
and i just cleaned out each plugs, i even took out the wires from the plugs(cranksensor wires) and added dielectric grease on each pin, and also bent the pins bad in better shape to make sure of best connection. i tested continuity from the dizzy plug( not dizzy side plug the other side) to the ecu pin(b15 and b16), comfirmed i have continuity, so now that sounds like i got my connection hooked up, but when i plug everything back in, start up the car, and same thing again...
the last couple of things i can think of is my ECU went bad, or i was thinking last resort just wire the crank sensor wires directly to the ecu.
im runnin out of options
cliffs;
new dizzy same cel 4
starts up no problem
comfirmed continuity from dizzy plug to ecu
