EASIEST WAY TO TRN UP RPM IDLE ??

ok i checked the haynes manual and im looking to turn up my idle because its dying out when gets warm and idles at like 200 , so i wanted to turn it up and theres like 3 ways, wondering


how have u guys turned up your rpm the easiest way ? i know theres like an idle screw on the throttel body ? what does that do i turned it and nothing ?? thanks

Sounds like your engine is starved of air, flat beat. Factory idle is fine.

dude if u cant answer question then dont bother, and 2 my car is fresh built 160 horse sohc, just finished tuning it yesterday, THANKS

use the idle screw on the throttle body, if that isnt giving you enough for some odd reason then adjust your throttle cable..

didnt do a very good job tuning it if it has a shitty idle and dies all the time.

only ways i know off is the screw on the TB and there is an alan key screw on the idle control valve which can adjust the idle.

have you check compression since the build?

also, any air leaks in the vac pipes or trapped air in the coolant system.

everything is checked just my line is brand new , and so it wass to loose just fixed it, i had to press down more on thepeddle, now the line is tight !! dont worry im not stupid !! we own a few shops and know what were doing :thumb:

may have a vaccum leak i got one on my teg and it dyes everynow and then just to lazy to fix it lol

idle screw on the throttle body will adjust your idle.

chances are your tune is messing up your idle. Double check your Fast Idle valve.

The funniest thing I find is that he likes to throw about his 160HP SOHC in peoples faces, but awhile back, he posted some electric supercharger from eBay, and asked if it was any good.
