CRatio -> Camshaft?

Hello everybody.

I'm building d16z6 with a6 pistons. CR will be around 10:1 as you all know.
I'm wondering which and what stage camshaft will be most appropriate for this setup! Our stock cam is good enough :headscratch:

P.S. I guess this question is already discussed, but didn't found it :?

Can you please tell why directly stage 2? I was watching videos and in most cases stage 2 cams are fitted in engines with cr11:1.
I just want to get some strong statement :wink:

Contact several manufacturers and ask which one of their cams they would recommend.

Also Stage 1 cams are usually REALLY mild, might as well be a stock replacement, from what I've heard.

Oh yeah, and make sure you get an N/A cam, if the manufacturer has both N/A and turbo cams. The lobes are optimized for different conditions on those. Unless of course you are planning on boosting the car.

Some stage 2 cams can be run on the stock motor. I know the Zex can.

The blox cam says springs and retainers needed and head work recommended.
