- Tue Oct 26, 2010 1:33 pm #220107 I have a civic with a leaking master cylinder.. it leaks on the inside of the firewall, fluid runs down the firewall behind the carpet so you wouldn't know it leaked unless you looked.

I had a leaking slave cyl. once. It leaked on the inside of the rubber boot and you wouldn't notice unless you pulled the boot back and then fluid came out.

- Wed Oct 27, 2010 7:04 am #220235 Yes, that's how I found out about the master cylinder - there was fluid leaking inside the car, like from the pedal itself.

Now I have to see if there is any fluid on the inside of the rubber.

I really wish it is that simple :)
