I'm looking for a tranny setup for a boosted itr that can handle 550hp without breaking on me. It won't be a daily driver, only an occasional one for shows, etc.. I may take it on cruises down the autostrada from time to time. Love short bursts, but still have to put power to the top end. Any setup suggestions?

cryogenic freeze will make the parts stronger. it is like tempering them. Like -300°F for 24-36 hrs

LS tranny for that kind of power. Maybe put in a GSR 5th gear set so you can still play with the big boys on a 5th gear pull.
Have the gears cryo treated like Teal said. Get carbon coated synchros. I'm not sure if anyone makes an LSD for the LS tranny though...you'll want that...

Yeah, we were talkin' on the other thread about it.. I'm definitely feeling the LS, but I wanna make sure I get a good internal setup. I think a guy in Williamsburg I knew has an LS with LSD, but I haven't talked to him in a while.
