Civic EG

hello i am planing on making somthing cool for my civic. where a shifter boot is not needed. kind of like this.



i am looking for the outline for the civic something i can print off and use that to cut out with.

Boy i thought of that one awhile back for my old BMW it dosent work too well unless your shifter has a stiff shiftlike with the energy suspension bushings and well event with that it dosent make for a nice clean shift or look....and you would have to make it out of a thick guage steel as if you hit the tabs they could bend making it impossibly to shift into that gear....

props if you can do it, but not only will it most likely look jerry-rigged it, like john said would be extreamly hard to find a template to find the tranny shift points and getting it accurate enough to actually get into gear. but good luck

I think there is very little side to side movement in the shifters... and if its a short throw shifter the back and forth motion is decreased even more. I honestly dont know if it can be done but more power to ya if you get it to work

I would make sure you go tthe energy suspension bushings AND a short shifter to minimize the play in the shifter.
