Civic EG

since I bought my EG3 hatch, ive noticed the gearbox makes a whining noise at low rpm's, I notice it most in 3rd and 4th... I dont have a rev counter in this model but would guess its at about 2k and below going by this being my 5th EG. The whine is almost like a supercharger sound and fades out as revs increase, anyone know what this is? Im assuming its the gearbox somewhere... its a d13b2 btw

If it's the same sound in all gears (same pitch, same volume, etc), then it's probably just your gears meshing.

Drain the fluid and fill it back up with Honda MTF2. That should get rid of the gear whine. Did it in my car, anyways.
