i bought this tranny an linkage today for 200 for my ls swap an the guy i got it off said it came out an ek with dohc vtec can someone please help me did i jus waste 200

that definately isnt a b series thats d16y8 if it came out of a trans first the case of a b series no matter what has this vent thing on it on the bellhousing also the tag the first 3 numbers in this case will let you know exactly what you have in this case s40=y8/z6 trans

sucks it happened, but you should have known something wasn't right..

$200 for a working/non-grinding hydro B series tranny is pretty much unheard of..
