Civic EG

Since day 1 with my EG9 evrytime I shift from 2nd to 3rd in Vtec , I hear from the gearbox the gear sounds like grrrrrr , as if I am not changing properly the gears...It only does it only in 3rd and only in VTEC ...But I am clutching properly , the mounts are O.K , OEM type ...I was wondering if I should change the engine mounts or use a engine dumper ?
If you have anything to suggest please tell me...THANX

Flush ur tranny and put synchromesh gear oil in it and see if that helps... if not it mint just be ur clutch is slipping at high rpm...

What kind of trans do you have ? 3rd gear Shift collars get worn out and scrape quite often


If it only dose it in 3rd and in vtec its more than likely wound tight , the sound is gear clash that your hearing it sound to me like a worn shift collar and or syncro ring on 3rd
