3rd and 4th gear grinds "sometimes"

i get a grinding sound when i go into 3rd - 4th when i'm really pushing it and try to get a fast shift.
but if i slow down my shift, it doesn't do it, and sometimes "like once a month or so" 4th pops out while driving..also at times the gears go in real hard like i hear a "CLACKING sound" when the gear goes in..is it that the bushings on the shift linkage are bad, clutch master cylinder? or would it be somthing more serious like the syncros inside the transmission are damaged?

Syncros. Honda trannys are famous for grinding in 3rd as most of them are slammed in there at 7000rpms.

Order the synchros online and do it yourself. It's not actually that hard once you get in there, or buy a rebuilt tranny. It would still be cheaper than $5K.
