Wet tranny

like tilts says I have a tranny that came with my hatch I bought that came with a jdm SOHC ZC and the mounting threads were striped making it scary sketchy .....Image.... sold that hatch but kept the motor and swaped it into my other hatch that was running a non vtec d15 with a new tranny off a dx and just wrapped the ZC tranny bag wrapped at my parents house till I got the balls and time to swap out its internals to a new housing ........ so I go check on it and they got a new dog that ripped up the 3 layers of bag and it rained like 4 days straight and who knows how many more days I don't know about it bein in the rain and sun rain and sun......... tranny was drained before I wrapped it up how bad can this potentialy be ..... This was gonna be my first tranny project so I have no idea

The transmission gets wet all the time when driving in the rain so water won't hurt it.

If there's any surface rust on the outside of the main input shaft, spray it with some WD40.

Hopefully you had a speed sensor or plug in it.
