My B16a Tranny Y21?

I have a y21 (i think) the b16a tranny, i keep grinding into 5th under high acceleration. and when im in 4th gear i can hear a whrring .. Is that prolly the synco's?

yeh, it is.
change the gear box oil for some good stuff and should stop... unless its really fucked. lol

if you arent on honda MTF already. do it now!
if that doesnt help, run GM Synchromesh.

any idea on how many miles the gearbox has done?
they tend to go nasty around the 100k - 110k

well give the car a service inc. gearbox oil and see how it goes. if its still doing you might wanna get it rebuilt or buy a new box.

Im just gonna drive that tranny until it completly dies.... and when that happends.. I might have diffrent plans.
